Last Snow Series

This is one of my longest running series, about twelve years. Each Spring I go out to the woods and fields to find the last patches of snow and wonder what will I do this year? Something unexpected always stirs me to paint. These are fleeting dashes of white in a greening landscape. When I find a patch I have to work quickly because the next day it may be gone. With Global Warming our winters will be warmer, even though we have some hard winters now the trend is for a warmer climate, maybe more rain and ice. The Last Snow Series is a visual record of that disappearing snow and ice on our planet.
