Summer Vines

Vines are like family ties, one generation withers while the next flourishes. The vines build on the structure of the trees that grew before them. Connections are messy and complicated with long tendrils hanging onto one another. There is beauty and decay in the vines that speak of families and humanity. As the bittersweet, fox grapes and Virginia creepers take over the roadside trees and forests they are also a dire warning of a changing planet.
